The underground railroad from J.C. to Manhattan dates back to 1909, yep our path, a feat of engineering. Notice in the background though, the watch tower, that’s what is now Liberty State Park, it was the ole railroad terminal, home of the Blue Comet. At the time and throughout the first half of the last century, in addition to this array of passenger rail the whole neighborhood had three different rail yards.
