I thought they were really big garbage pails too, but no, apparently they are concrete planters so our tree-lined Newark Avenue will never have big trees in the ground! Oh, stop, they look. Read where there will be 15 concrete planters on Newark Avenue. Of course, before they filled them with dirt and planted the bare branches our fellow citizens used them as trash receptacles, and now those individuals can resume their traditional littering. I wonder what the peat moss look like come spring.
