Morning at the Bodega on Grove Street. One J.C. Cop is buying his newspapers. He looks up and smiles when another J.C. Cop walks in, who says, “hey, aren’t you out of your district?”
The other Cop laughs. “I’m just getting my papers.”
“I wish I worked in a district where I had time to read the newspapers.”
“Come up to my district and fight some real crime.”
He waves goodbye as he leaves the store. The other customers, the guy behind the counter, the remaining cop, we’re all laughing.
