Winter Seat

Might be a few months before we can sit on this porch, drink lemonade and pick the old guitar again. The chair and the broom left outside, why the sudden departure. A chair left outside to be snowed upon implies the story to be told is an abrupt one. I like the way the ice has formed on the seat, melting and re-freezing. Snow and ice are slowly unstable, their changes one of nuance. The abandonment may have been abrupt but the aftermath lingers for weeks and weeks.
