Fishing & Crabbing on the Hudson

A couple and their young daughter were fishing and crabbing on the Jersey City banks of the Hudson River. “We come here just about every weekend,” said the wife.

The husband tied fish shards into the crab trap then flung the trap into the river. “I caught two today,” he told me.

“I caught a striped bass,” added his wife.

“We almost always catch something,” said the husband.

“How do they taste?”

The woman laughed. “Oh, we usually throw them back.”
